World Suicide Prevention Day

Amongst kids, teens and young adults, suicide is the second leading cause of death here in Canada – depression being the leading risk factor.
Children’s Mental Health Ontario is partnering up with the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention, and is encouraging everyone to show their support for this worthy cause.
There are many ways of showing ones support – being non-judgemental is the most  important one.
One in ten middle and high-school students have contemplated on committing suicide, with 3% attempting it.
These numbers are too high.
We all have our battles and struggles (some worse than others), so it’s important to remember to have a heart and be compassionate. However tough your current situations in life are, they will always get better.
Help is always available.
