Smoothie Mania: A Girl’s Best Friend

Being a girl is full of adventure, beauty and excitement.  Cindy Lauper definitely had it right because girls really do just want to have fun!  Sometimes however, being a girl isn’t always a bed of roses.  Yes ladies, I’m talking about the “P”.  It happens to all of us and it is definitely not my favourite part of being a girl.

Period cramps. 

The Prom Show teamed up with Naturopath, Dr. Baljit Khamba, Canada Hemp Foods, and Nutribullet to help all you ladies out there.  Being on your period doesn’t have to be a total drag, with our “Girls Best Friend” Smoothie.  We developed this smoothie to help minimize the side effects of the red lady, and maximize on deliciousness!



The ingredients in this smoothie were specifically chosen to help soothe and combat those side effects we are genetically blessed with.  It’s a great way to treat and take care of yourself at the same time! No pills, just wholesome nutrition.


1⁄2 cup chamomile tea (1 teabag steeped for 5 min)

1⁄2 cup almond milk

1 banana

vanilla yogurt

1 cup ice

1⁄4 tsp cinnamon

1⁄2 cup rolled oats

1⁄4 tsp nutmeg


Blend these essential ingredients and prepare to cuddle up on the couch with a blanket and a sappy movie.  We want you to be happy, comfy and healthy and period cramp-free!
