To continue our smoothie series, we present you with our pre/post workout shake! This whole series seeks to inspire you all to get off your butts and be proactive in your health!
While giving your body proper nutrition is important, it is also important to balance your lifestyle with some good old fashioned exercise. We created this smoothie with The Nutribullet and the help of Naturopath Dr. Baljit Khamba & Canada Hemp Foods to help give you that extra push and it is delicious (we tried it ourselves)!
The Workout Shake
1 1⁄2 cup almond milk
1 cup plain yogurt
1⁄4 tsp ground cardamom
2 cups mango
1 tsp juice of lime
The Green Shake is full of energy boosting ingredients that enhance in the Pre & Post Workout stages. The key ingredient is the almond milk, which is an awesome substitute for those of us who are trying to cut our calories as well as build muscle.
The yogurt is also a key ingredient, providing the right amount of protein and amino acids that your muscles need to repair themselves!
